"I should mention that at the first M & G when I told them it was my birthday, he then told me it was his daughter's birthday."

Kathi Nicholson replied to Stephanie Carta's discussion Now More Than Ever: The History of Chicago
"Stephanie, the M&G are lots of fun. The first one I attended was nerve wracking because it was a surprise so I didn't know I'd be meeting the band until about 5 minutes before. It was the first thing I told them. They couldn't have been nicer or mor…"

Kathi Nicholson replied to Stephanie Carta's discussion Now More Than Ever: The History of Chicago
"Of course Andy the originals can never be truly replaced (that would require, at least in the case of Terry, a devine intervention) and to think so is folly but I don't think that was what RL meant. And yes it was a little self deprecating. But they…"

"Thanks Stephanie, that sheds some light on James' question about why so few cuts featuring Walt and other tunes with session musicians. I was going to suggest going directly to the source, (I'm sure RL would share the reasons) but it sounds like you…"

"By the way James, in response to your query about Walter being o.k. when I saw Chicago in April of 2015 play at the New Orleans Jazz Festival I was very happy to see Walter instead of Ray Hermann on sax (nothing against Ray who is amazing). Walter l…"

Kathi Nicholson replied to Stephanie Carta's discussion Now More Than Ever: The History of Chicago
"All of this discussion about the coming and going of originals and replacements over the decades brings me back to a very telling quote from RL in the documentary where he declares with a fair degree of conviction 'we are all replaceable'. Obviously…"

I watched the doc twice and don't recall hearing 'Dialogue' played or mentioned, did I miss it's?
Kathi Nicholson replied to Stephanie Carta's discussion Now More Than Ever: The History of Chicago
"Hi Stephanie, read your review and you make many excellent observations, things I hadn't really given much thought to. There was just one oversight which was Danny's candid sometimes painful response to the claim from the band that his playing had s…"

Kathi Nicholson replied to Stephanie Carta's discussion Now More Than Ever: The History of Chicago
"Yes I believe Foster is really what he appears to be, he loves himself, I've read his autobiography ( someone gifted it to me thinking I'd like it) he has an enormous ego. I was curious about the reference to when RL joined the group, he had a book…"

Pete, I agree about D. Foster, what ego, must have been painfully tough time for our boys to work with him. Thank God they stayed intact.
Loved, loved, loved the documentary, it served the band and music well, especially Terry and Danny. RL views were insightful. First rate!
Kathi Nicholson replied to Robert Lamm's discussion CDs, Streaming, Downloads, and 1-off catalog
"I'm writing not to contribute to your question/request for 1 off submissions but rather to make a suggestion to add a favorite song to your live set list, Fancy Colors has always been a favorite and I would die happy if you performed it live the nex…"

Watching CNN when a teaser for Now More Than Ever premiering Jan.1/17, came on, nearly fell off my chair, so excited to finally see it!
RL was in superb voice, how does he do it? Noticed he was sporting tattoos on his forearms and chest, has anyone noticed these before?
